UF Exchange
E-mail Configuration for Entourage 2008
- Before attempting to configure Entourage 2008 for UF Exchange, you or your UF Exchange Tier 2 Support member will need to verify your STMP server settings.
- In order to configure Entourage 2008 for UF Exchange you will need to have @ad.ufl.edu as either your primary or secondary STMP.
Step 1:
After verifying if your account contains the proper SMTP settings you will open Entourage 2008 and click Tools and scroll down to Accounts.Launch Entourage 2008. Click Tools and go to Accounts
Step 2:
The accounts menu will open up. Select New and go to Exchange
Step 3:
- The account setup assistant will open, enter your email address and you will need to check the box that says “My Account is on an Exchange Server”
Example: at-svc-helpdesk
Once completed, click the purple arrow at the bottom to configure the Configuration Setup.
Step 4:
You will get an error asking you to verify your settings, click the purple arrow at the bottom to advance the configuration setup
Step 5:
The account setup assistant will ask for you to verify your settings
Example:
Your Name: Albert Gator
E-mail address: at-svc-helpdesk@ad.ufl.edu
Exchange Server: https://mail.ufl.edu
LDAP Server: ad.ufl.edu
Use SSL for these Servers: Check the box
Once this is finished click the purple arrow at the bottom to advance the configuration setup
Step 5:
The account setup assistant will then ask for you to verify your settings. You will click the “Verify My Settings” box and wait for the process to complete
Step 6:
Once your account settings have verified you will need to enter your Account Information
Example:
Domain: ad.ufl.edu
Account ID: at-svc-helpdesk (Your username)
Password: ************ (Your Password)
Once completed, click OK
Step 7:
Once all Account Information has been verified you will be back in the Account Setup Assistant window. Once your settings have been successfully verified you can click the purple arrow in the bottom right hand corner to advance to the next part of the Account Setup Assistant. In the final page of the Account Setup Assistant you will need to enter your Account Name (Which you may specify to your own settings) and to complete you will need to click Finish
Step 8:
You will now be prompted to enter your password and setup your Entourage account for the first time. Once entered, click OK.
Step 9:
Once you have entered your password, Entourage will synchronize with UF Exchange and you can verify this by seeing your 'Inbox' updating figure:
