VPN Configuration for iPad 2
Download, free of charge, the Cisco AnyConnect app from the app store on your device. Follow this link:

These instructions use the following parameters:
- Server address:vpn.ufl.edu
- An active UF GatorLink account.
- IPSec/L2TP and PDA Access to the UFL VPN key code found at:
https://net-services.ufl.edu/cgi-bin/vpn/vpn-ext-passwd.cgi
Step 1:
Tap on Settings App

Step 2:
Tap on Wi-Fi under Settings and verify that your Wi-Fi connection is "ON"
( if you are using a 3G data plan verify that it is "ON".
Contact your provider for information about incurred charges and usage limitations of Cellular Data plans.)

Step 3:
Tap on General and from that menu, tap on Network.

Step 4:
Tap on VPN

Step 5:
Tap on Add VPN Configuration

Step 6:
Enter the following information:
Description for the VPN (UFL L2TP for example)
Server: l2tp.vpn.ufl.edu
Account: username@ufl.edu (where username is your GatorLink account username)
RSA SecurID: OFF
Password: Ask Every Time or enter your GatorLink password to be stored*.
*remember to update and restore your password whenever your GatorLink password is changed.
To obtain the current key code for IPSec/L2TP and PDA Access to the UFL VPN System go to:
https://net-services.ufl.edu/cgi-bin/vpn/vpn-ext-passwd.cgi
This link requires GatorLink username authentication.

Step 7:
Tap on Send All Traffic "ON" and Tap Save

Step 8:
Enter your GatorLink password and tap Done

Step 9:
Wait for the VPN to Authenticate to the server

Step 10:
Confirmation of the VPN client will be indicated under Settings if the VPN is "ON" as well as by an active VPN icon, located next to the WiFi icon.
You have successfully completed the VPN configuration process.

VPN connection disconnects when you turn off the device or close the cover.
