UF Exchange

Configuring UF Exchange in iPhone/iPod Touch OS 4
Step 1:
Open the ‘Settings’ app from your iPhone’s/iPod Touches springboard.

Step 2:Tap the ‘Mail, Contacts, Calendars’ item (you may have to scroll the screen down some).

Step 3: Tap the ‘Add Account’ item from the top of the screen.

Step 4: Tap the ‘Microsoft Exchange’ choice at the top.

Step 5: On the ‘Exchange’ screen fill in each item as follows:
- Email – your primary SMTP address. For the majority of UF users this would be your gatorlink email address in the form of gatorlink@ufl.edu. Some units have their own domains within UF Exchange. In these cases you should enter your departmental email address. Contact your local IT support if you have questions. · Domain – enter “UFAD”.
- Username – enter your gatorlink username.
- Password – enter your gatorlink password.
- Description – Choose your text to describe this account. For instance, “UF Exchange”.
When everything is entered tape the “Next” button at the top right of the screen. Briefly the iPhone/iPod Touch will be “Verifying” settings.

Step 6: The screen will change to allow you to fill in the “Server” setting. Enter “mail.ufl.edu” and tap the “Next” button in the top right. Again, the iPhone/iPod Touch will verify settings. This time it will succeed and move on.

Step 7: Decide what items from the Exchange server you want to sync to your phone. By default Mail, Contacts, and Calendars are all ‘On’. When done, tap the “Save” button in the top right.

Step 8: At this point you are done configuring your Exchange settings and you will be back at the ‘Mail, Contacts, Calendars’ item from the ‘Settings’ app. Click your ‘Home’ button to exit the ‘Settings’ app.

Step 9: Immediately upon exiting ‘Settings’ you will be sent a notification about a ‘Passcode Requirement’ if you do not already have a passcode on your phone. If you receive this notification you should tap ‘Continue’ now to set your passcode. If you choose to set a passcode ‘Later’ no data from UF Exchange will sync to your phone and you will have to manually set a passcode in the ‘Settings’ app (you will receive no further notifications about this requirement).

Step 10: Enter your ‘New Passcode’ and tap ‘Continue’.

Step 11: Verify your passcode by entering it again and tap ‘Save’.
