E-mail Configuration for Outlook 2003


Required: An E-mail account should aready be created on the Exchange Server, a wired Internet connection on campus or VPN with ufw.

Basic settings: mail.ufl.edu for the incoming and outgoing server address

Step 1:
Open Outlook 2003 - Outlook 2003 Startup will open.


Step 2:
The user will then be prompted to setup an email account. Click Yes and then click Next.


Step 3:
The user will need to select Microsoft Exchange Server and then click Next


Step 4:
Specify the server settings as:
Microsoft Exchange Server: mapi.mail.ufl.edu
UserName: Mailbox Username
Click Next


Step 5:
Once the account is setup, the Congratulations screen will open and the user will need to click on Finish to complete the account setup.
 
Step 6:
When the user first logs onto Outlook 2003, they must enter the username and password. NOTE: They must enter UFAD\ before the username in orderto be recognized on Active directory. (Example: UFAD\gatorjoe)


Step 7:
When the user first logs onto Outlook 2003, they must enter their Full name and Initials.
