E-mail Configuration for Outlook 2010
Required:
- An E-mail account as already created on the Exchange Server,
- a wired Internet connection on campus or
- Vitrual Private Newtork (VPN) for non-UF network or wireless connections on campus such as "UF".

Server address:
For Exchange 2010 mailboxes: outlook.mail.ufl.edu
Step 1:
Open Outlook 2010 - "Outlook 2010 Startup" screen appears as shown below.
Click "Next"
Step 2:
Configure an email account.
"Account Configuration" screen appears as shown below.
Select "Yes" and then click "Next."
Step 3:
Add a new email account.
"Add New Account" screen appears as shown below.
Select "Manually Configure server settings or additional server types" as shown below.
Other options will be disabled.
Step 4:
"Choose Service" screen appears as shown below.
Select "Microsoft Exchange" and then click "Next."
Step 5:
Enter the server settings.
"Server Settings" screen appears as shown below.
Type "outlook.mail.ufl.edu" in box titled "Server" for 2010 Exchange mailboxes as shown below.
Ensure "Use Cached Exchange Mode" is selected.
Type in your name for your account in the box titled "User Name"in the following manner:
Last Name, First Name as shown below. (i.e. Gator, Albert)
Click "Check Name"
An additional window will open as shown below.
Enter your Gatorlink User Name and your Password in the indicated boxes.
Note: If the Domain is not "UFAD" as shown above:
Enter "UFAD\" before your Gatorlink User ID (i.e UFAD\Albert) followed by your password
in the indicated boxes.
This allows the account to log on to Active Directory.
Click "OK"
Outlook will configure your e-mail address based on your user name as shown below.
Click "Next"
Step 6:
Complete Installation
A "Congratulations" screen will appear as shown below.
Click "Finish" to log onto Outlook 2010.
Step 7:
When launching Outlook 2010 for the first time, a "User Name" verification screen will appear as shown below.
Enter your First and Last Name and Initials in the indicated boxes.
(i.e. Name: Albert Gator, Initials: AG)
Click "OK".
Step 8:
A "Security and Settings" screen will appear as shown below.
Select the option you prefer to use.
Click "OK".
Step 9:
An "Office Outlook" screen will appear similar to the one shown below.

You have successfuly configured Outlook 2010.
